It was the most perfect spring day. The sun was shining, there were only a few white clouds in the sky, and the temperature was mild for mid May in the south! When I arrived at The Eagle's Nest Lodge, in Charlotte, Arkansas, I was shocked at how calm the scene was. Not at all wedding day frantic. Friends and family were relaxed and finishing with last minute preparations. The bridal party was in the middle of hair and makeup. The groomsmen were in hangout mode. There was a sense of peace, unstressed rush, and absolute joy! I knew this was going to be an amazing day!

The details and the gorgeous color pallet of blush and blue paired perfectly with the spring day. It is really all in the details, right?! These elements are chosen with purpose and sometimes months of careful consideration, and I so enjoyed capturing the beauty for them to always remember.

Listening to Brent and Amanda say their vows, I couldn't help getting teary eyed. As my husband and I just celebrated 15 years of marriage, I couldn't help but think back to our own wedding day and the vows we exchanged. Promising to love your spouse the way Jesus loves his church. How he gave himself up for her. How he has made her holy and without blemish because his death and resurrection. Its a daunting task. But we have grace and love! And Jesus! Brent and Amanda were radiating with love and grace toward each other. So much love! And they had so many friends and family there that witnessed that. And what better way to start a marriage than to declare that in front of so many people that love, encourage, and support you! I couldn't help but smile the entire day.

Brent and Amanda, I am cheering for you!! I am so honored to have been a part of your day and witness the love between you. When you look back on these photos years from now, know I'm still cheering you on!
